Decorative Blocks are the traditional and professional way
to easily install Mouldings around doors and windows
and to install Crown Mouldings.
Enhance your doors and windows with our decorative wooden Corner and Base Blocks. Where Casing meets at the corners of doors and windows, our wood Corner Blocks eliminate the need for tedious, often ill-fitting miter (angle) cuts. Likewise, wood Base Blocks provide an easy transition from Baseboard to Casing... and they look great! Easy installation and great looks. That's a hard combination to beat! See our Casing & Blocks - Installation Overview for details.

Available in seven designs and four sizes:
7/8" x 2-1/2"
7/8" x 3-1/2"
1" x 4-1/2"
1" x 5-1/2"
Photo at right illustrates the ease with which miter (angle) cuts are avoided by using Corner Blocks.

For an even more decorative statement, consider Head Blocks rather than Corner Blocks.

Photo at left shows a pair of Top Head Blocks (turned upside down for this use) with incised Rosette from Corner Block #6. Together with Casing and other mouldings, they totally transform this previously plain entry door.

Base Blocks
Casing on either side of a door should terminate into Base Blocks (also known as Plinth Blocks), not only for their good looks, but also to permit installation of Baseboards without miter cuts. Photo at right shows Base Blocks with an optional incised Rosettes (from Corner Block #6 in this case).
