Porch Posts structurally support the weight of the porch roof but can also be quite decorative.

Porch Posts extend from the top of the porch floor to the bottom of the Beam. Ideally, they are spaced uniformly along the porch. Vintage Woodworks Porch Posts are available in several styles, diameters, and lengths.
A turned porch Post includes three areas: the top square, the turning, and the base square, as shown at the left.
The top square is the unturned portion at the top of the Post. Its finished length after installation should be sufficient to allow the decorative components (Spandrel, Brackets, etc.) to fit entirely on this flat area.
The base square is the unturned bottom portion of the Post. Its length after installation should allow the Handrail to fit entirely on its flat surface.
