Quote Marks in Options


I believe we’ve always avoided quote marks in Option fields due to YS issues w/ them. But, they released a fix on 4/25/12. I’m not sure if this will apply to our old format of store or just the newer versions. But, if we find that we need quote marks inside a pop-down, we could try it:

Item Options Using Quotation Marks (Catalog Manager and catalog.xml)
Catalog Manager and catalog.xml fixes will be made for an issue encountered when using a quotation mark (") in an item option. Upon release of this fix, the catalog.xml will now display only one option for "OptionValue" when a quotation mark is used, and the quotation mark will not be stripped. Catalog Manager will also correctly display item options using a quotation mark.
