We can't deny that awnings and screened porches are both very functional. However, many (including ourselves) feel they detract from the front of the home. Side or rear screened porches are usually a better solution.

Apparently, this owner felt the same! The remodeled porch certainly provides more "curb appeal".

This "reborn" porch is even more inviting at close range due the details that have been included and the Fancy Cut Shingles add a very pleasing texture to the gable.
