Checking In Your Order
(Each Vintage Woodworks shipment includes the following packing note.)
Please Check Entire Shipment
for Completeness and Damage
(Small items often hide in packing materials!)
We pack very carefully. Your order left us in perfect condition!
Acceptance of shipment by the carrier acknowledged this fact. Carrier is therefore responsible for loss or damage, including concealed damage. Nevertheless, we want to help!
Most shipments arrive without problems. Otherwise, proceed as noted below.
We’ll do everything we can to simplify your claim with the carrier and to expedite prompt replacements. When calling us, please have invoice and delivery information available.
Loss of Package(s)
FedEx, UPS and Post Office - They treat each package as a separate shipment. We label all packages in a shipment as 1 of ___, 2 of ___, etc. All may not arrive together, but the last one should only be a few days behind. If not, first call the carrier's local office. Then, call us if you need further assistance.
All Other Carriers - Your freight bill shows the number of packages in your shipment. If any are missing, do not sign for shipment until driver notes shortage on delivery receipt. If not delivered within a few days, first call carrier, then call us.
Damage (including concealed damage)
FedEx and UPS - Have driver note obvious damage on delivery receipt. Retain all packing materials with damaged items. Call the carrier's local office to get an inspection report number. Then, call us to report this number.
Post Office - Save all packing materials with the damaged items and call us.
All Other Carriers - If a package is damaged, do not sign for shipment until driver notes damage on freight bill. Save all packing materials with damaged items and call us. For concealed damage, save all packing materials with damaged items and promptly call carrier. Then, call us.
