This house on the hill only gets better as you get closer to it. 
Note how clipped corner of porch follows the shape of the tower. 
A relatively tall beam is one of the hallmarks of many grand older porches. Likewise, Repeating Cornice Brackets are very important where an authentic look is desired. If shorter Repeating Cornice Brackets are necessitated due to a shorter beam, then Post Face Brackets can also be used to good advantage. Note also the use of Post Face Appliques just below the turned portion of each Porch Post. These are a very cost effective way to add additional decoration to the porch.
