Shaped from Number One Grade Western Red Cedar, our Cut Cedar Shingles are the timeless covering for exterior sidewalls or roofs, including mansard roofs and for a decorative texture on interior walls and ceilings. Cut Cedar Shingles may not be used on roofs where the pitch is less than 4/12.
Cartons or Panels
Fancy Cut Cedar Shingles may be ordered in cartons of 96 traditional Shingles, or for really fast and easy installation, order your Fancy Cuts in Panels. These come in bundles of six one course panels and allow much faster installation.
And, if you just need a few Shingles to finish your project, you can order individual Shingles and Panels in any quantity you want.

• For Exterior Sidewalls, maximum exposure is 7-1/2" which will cover 25 sq. ft. per carton.
• For Interior applications only, exposures may be up to 10" and a carton will cover 33-1/3 sq. ft.

Maintenance
Cut Cedar Shingles, when properly applied, require little maintenance. The natural preservatives in genuine Western Red Cedar makes Cut Cedar Shingles a very durable material. They will darken or change color at different rates, depending on the amount of direct sun they receive. On an interior wall, any section exposed to sunlight will change color, just as wood furniture, wallpaper or paint will. Vintage Woodworks recommends finishing with a quality oil-based stain to maximize the life of your Cut Shingles in outdoor sidewall applications. See Staining and Finishing Cedar Shingles.
Complete installation instructions are included with your cartons.
