Mantel Shelves and Pilasters are sold separately and shipped fully assembled. Mantel Shelf includes a solid bottom so it can be used alone or with two side Pilasters for a traditional Full Mantel Surround. With Pilasters installed as shown, inside clearance (B) will be 26" less than overall Shelf length (A).

Please add $8 special packaging per item. Omit this charge for Pilasters when they are ordered at the same time as Mantel Shelf.

Installation: Mantel Shelf #4720 and Pilaster #4730 include hidden mounting boards, which are pre-fitted and shipped installed to the Mantel Shelf. The mounting boards will have to be removed before installation. To install, just attach these mounting boards to your wall. (Hardware stores have special attaching hardware for masonry or sheetrock walls.) Then, simply nail or screw the Mantel Shelf and Pilasters to the mounting boards. Installation instructions are included with each order. You'll be amazed how easily you can install a new Mantel for your fireplace.
